Frequently Asked Questions

Northview Trade School offers certified trade courses in HVAC, Appliance Repair, and Septic. More courses will be added soon! Our programs are fully online and utilize Live Instructors / Industry experts, and state-of-the-art Virtual Reality (VR) technology. Study at your own pace with flexible schedules designed to fit your busy life.

Upon graduation, you will receive industry-recognized credentials, including the NATE® (North American Technician Excellence) Ready-to-Work Certification which certifies you as a Technician/Apprentice starting off. You will also receive the OSHA 10 certification to allow you to work on any construction and/or jobsite in the country. For HVAC exclusively you will also receive the EPA Section 608 Universal certification to allow you to purchase, handle, and dispose of refrigerants and coolants. All exam vouchers will also be included within the course price.

The courses are typically completed on average between 4-12 weeks. Our trade courses are each around 80 hours and self paced. You can complete the course in 2 weeks if you have 40 hours per week to commit. If you have 30 hours per week to commit, you can complete the course in 3 weeks.

All of our courses are fully online, giving you the flexibility to learn at your own pace while developing practical, real-world skills (via computer or laptop, along with the option of a Virtual Reality (VR) headset and controllers). You’ll connect with your Instructor once a week via video call for guidance and support, and they’re always available to answer questions or provide extra help when needed. Our instructors are leading industry experts, ensuring you receive top-quality training and insights to excel in your field.

The primary certifications that the successful graduates receive are accredited / certified directly under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government of the United States. The EPA 608 exam is certified directly by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The OSHA program is certified / authorized directly by the United States Department of Labor’s regulatory agency, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).


Northview Trade School partners directly with industry-expert training providers and exam proctors, who are certified NATE Authorized Training Providers. NATE (North American Technician Excellence) is the nation's largest nonprofit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians.


Northview Trade School's training programs are classified and indexed with national CIP & SOC Codes. Our training program’s Classification of Instructional Programs' (CIP) Codes are indexed with the United States Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
